Chromehill Sunset

This image was taken from just below the summit of Chromehill, a strange magical ridge of limestone peaks not far from my home location. The sun was just about to set, but casting a super bright final glow to the hillside.

This image is a HDR combination of 5 images from 1 RAW file, (from EV -2 to EV +2) combined in Photomatix Basic and then completed with some final dodging and burning.

Thanks for all your comments. On the day I took the photo, it was freezing and blowing a gale up on the hill - my fingers were numb and my ears about to drop off - so the warmth of that light is deceptive. Luckily, Chromehill is not far (a couple of miles) from a nearby village, so I dropped of the hillside to the pub for a pint of beer and a sit by the open fire - bliss
