Portrait

I met these two guys in a Karachi bazaar. After I took the portrait we sat and drank tea for a while, and talked about this and that.

The shot was taken on 35mm film on my old Nikon FM2 with a Nikkor 50mm lens.

thanks for the comments and questions. The great thing about the location was the light quality, so much range, and therefore possibilities. In this portrait, I have done very little post-processing after scanning the transparency. A little sharpening, and playing with the histogram to pull the tonal range tighter

Beautifully composed, however it is the restrained palette that I find works so well here. Invariable photos taken in this part of the world (mine for example) capitalise on the riot of colour. This would have distracted us from the power of those eyes.
