From a previous visit to the drag strip at Santa Pod in Northamptonshire last November, I noticed this nice composition of fluttering kite banners. When I spotted them, it was the middle of the day, but the kites were lost in the featureless sky, so I waited till that half hour just after sunset to take the shot, so that the blueness would be more saturated, and the colour temperature nicely cool.
