I'm tempted to take a tub of strong glue with me next time I try to photograph butterflies. Spread it on a leaf !!.....that'll stop the little tykes flapping off every time I got less than a foot away
only kidding.....but I had a hard time getting even this shot, and really didn't want to use flash.
I was using my 50mm macro lens, so I had to approach them too closely, so I wish I'd bought a 90mm macro instead.

haha... yeah it's never easy to approach them for a good close-up but you nailed it for this shot! (you did bring your hammer and nails for this shot right? hahah)

Most delicate and delightful. Excellent dof and it's amazing how this butterfly has wings that seem transparent. Do you know anything about this little blighter?
