This effect was acheived by shooting through a Cokin sized special effect filter, which is a mottled blue/pink/purple diffuser, which I bought from a junk store. The flower is white, so the effect is totally artificial.
I'm going to be away today, so will catch up with everyones blogs tomorrow. Thanks for any comments in advance

It's a stunning effect. To know that it was done 'in camera' as opposed to in post production in a real bonus. Great job, Sir.
