One of my scanned slides from a previous life.....Spotted this critter some years back whilst on a visit in The Middle East. This one was making its escape in a willow type tree, but wasn't camoflaged enough to escape my attention. It was bright green in the tree, but when I picked it up, it changed to black, white and mottled green.

@Rags: Thanks Rags. The lens was a Nikon 50mm prime, the camera a very old Nikon FM. As to my reference to 'another life', back when I took the photo, around 1986, I specialised in nature photography, and the image was taken during one such expedition abroad. Today I don't have the time for such ventures unfortunately.

I don't think I've ever seen one of these in person or at a zoo. So your photo is the next best thing. The colors are pleasing to the eye.
