These paintings, centuries old, cover the walls in parts of Lincoln Cathedral where the light is dimmest. With an exposure of around 1/5 second at 400 ISO (flash is not allowed obviously), handholding was just about manageble with the Fuji F30, as long as I didn't breath whilst pressing the shutter...

This is beautiful, what a fantastic photo! I agree, the lighting is an obstical in Cathedrals etc, but you cleared this one with space to spare. Excellent Richard :)
