Chapati Oven

I have enjoyed sharing some of my portraiture work over the last couple of days, so here are some more. These ones are scanned colour slides, not lost images like I just posted, but part of a body of work I took whilst living and working in Pakistan many years ago.

This man was preparing and baking chapati's. The light streaming through the walls was beautiful, and created a lovely atmosphere in the room. Try to imagine the gorgeous smell of baking bread, the heat from the oven and the hot sun outside streaming through, and that was pretty much what it was like in there.....definitely a moment to be savoured.
