Blue River

I am lucky enough to own a small narrowboat which is moored on the River Trent in the town of Newark. Although I have posted a couple of images of my boat ages ago, I've never really done a photo study of my experience living afloat, so the set of images this week is a peek into the textures and shapes of the place I'm moored up in. Eventually I'll expand the collection to include portraits of the many characters, wildlife and environments of river life.

This first shot is a night shot of the River Trent below Newark Town Bridge which is five minutes walk from my moorings.

Sky reflected in water, sometimes blue, sometimes black, reflections glint on the surface, but it always moves.
