Now its October, the first few leaves are starting to change colour here, just a few here and there at the moment, as its still too warm yet to be called Autumn.
The red coloured leaves in this shot are from an ornamental tree in my garden, not a native of this part of the globe, but a North American tree (can't remember its name) and its leaves change to the most amazing colours from September onwards, and it becomes a true riot of golds and reds and bronze by mid November.
I'll post a few shots of these leaf studies over this weekend

Not that the leaves ever really change color down here, but it seems a bit early, even for the Northeast part of the country.

@Twelvebit: Your right on it being a bit early, especially here in England - but the red leaves here are from a little ornamental bush from your part of the world, which I planted in my garden about five years ago. The leaves start red in spring, turn green in summer, then go red again from late September onwards. I wish I knew what it was? it also has little edible fruits that grow in clusters - well they seem to be edible - no one whose eaten them has died......
The light, the framing, the colours... excellent Richard. Just excellent.

The best Fall picture I've seen this year. Wonderful!

@Brian: Thanks. Our native UK trees still think its mid-summer, but the ornamentals and others have started changing colour here. Up here in the damp NW of Europe, we don't really get the amazing Fall colours you see in central europe or the NE US, more its a case of stuff goes yellow brown, it rains loads, then its mulching on the ground in the grey misty air.......
but hey, I'm looking forward to it kicking off in its own way anyway, and these non-native bushes everyone plants in their gardens are lovely anyway
This image is very beautiful with nice spectrum of colors
