Beautiful macro Richard! The colour is outstanding. I think you have a steadier hand than I do for hand held macros... and better eyes for focus, too!!

@Twelvebit: Its a great lens. I bought the 50mm, which is great for leaves and flowers, and is small, light and easy to use hand-held.......but really I wish I'd bought the 105mm, as it would be better for insects and crawlies, and still been good for flowers. The lens image quality is superb
Impressive closeup! I am also thinking in getting the sigma macro, how happy are you with it?

@Manuela Photography: Very happy, but get the 105mm. The 50mm is fantastic, but you do need to get very close for 1:1 shots - within an inch or less, so not so good without great light, as you end up making your own shadows on your subject with the lens, or terrifying every creepie crawlie your trying to photograph.
