The Weathered Monument

I like using lens filters sometimes. This shot was taken in the town of Whitby in North Yorkshire, and I combined a graduated pink, and a warm up flter.

Whitby is one of my favorite place in the world. This is a lovely image that captures perfectly the sense of mystery in that little town. The filter works perfectly.

Absolutely fantastic sky! Love these tones! Gorgeous contrast with the monument and landscape. Such a rich sense of history here, and, may I say, Romanticism! This piece actually reminds me of Turner’s paintings – we have a print of ‘The Fighting Temeraire’ hanging in our living room, and your treatment here does bring that to mind somewhat! First-rate work indeed, Richard!
