These steps in Whitby are famous. I've tried to count them dozens of times, as everyone seems to do, and always end up with a different count.

wow,the angle from which one looks up the steps give it such an intimidating feel,as if it was so hard to climb!Didi u try?:) But the blue sky is just so lovely,i wont mind climbing it to be a little nearer to it!:)

@tyan: I have climbed up many times, and it is always a hard one. Those 199 steps seem to go on forever...

@amy: If you ever visit England, put Whitby top of your list. Its a fantastic town, and near to the beautiful little village called 'Robin Hoods Bay' which is only a few miles away.
