Graffiti Days
This simple slogan caught my eye. It was tagged in the most obscure place, tucked away where few would ever read it, behind a 13th century chapel in a run down area of Derby in England.
What struck me was that the person behind the scrawl (and it is hardly a masterpiece of art) somehow had the conviction of enough belief in their longing for the return of Mr Jim Morrison, they were prepared to write it in red paint where none may see it....
Anyway, to escuse the pun.......'People are Strange'

Where is he? I thought that he's living in Paris, in the "Père Lachaise Quartier"!!! Good choice :-)

I wish he was .... shame he isn't. Great comment too Richard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extract from 'The End' by Jim Morrison This is the end, beautiful friend This is the end, my only friend The end It hurts to set you free But you'll never follow me The end of laughter and soft lies The end of nights we tried to die This is the end

Well spotted Richard. It reminds me on one near here years ago - we have a suburb named "PAGE" after a polititian - someone had scrawled "JIMMY" in front of it - it stayed there for 20 years - a tribute to Led Zeppelin!

Well done Richard, and may he rest in Peace?

Maybe he wrote it in hopes that someone like you would come along and re-post it all over the world! LOL :0)

A great find Richard. I wonder if who ever did this, ever thought that it would be seen by so many people.

Hmmmmm, putting my lawyer hat on for a minute (it’s been a few years since I was in civil and commercial litigation practice, but I do think I still remember something of the rules of evidence! ;) ) , I’m sorry to disappoint this probably fine fella, but, as far as I’m aware, there is no evidence from contemporaneous reliable witnesses, or the like, that Jim Morrison (assuming it’s the famous one this fine chap is so enamoured by :) ) is anything other than (to borrow Lorraine’s apt words here) resting in Peace (although we can never be absolutely sure it is “Peace” he is indeed resting in, of course. But we hope it is the case, for him. :) ) Exceptionally FINE find, Richard! ;)
