Miniatures

This shot is just a play about with Photoshop to create little 'photo miniatures' using the lensblur filter.

I took the image from Lincoln Castle back last summer.

The effect is very attractive!And it does miniaturize the people, almost makes them look like figurines.

Exceptional. It did a trick on me, just like Jen I stared. It is the people that fooled me I could tell they were real while the buildings did have the miniature effect. I like the angle, colors and DOF.

Very Cool. I was thinking of doing the same with life-sized trains, after reading an article from a guy who uses extremely small apertures to make miniatures look real.

interesting effect; I've used it on some of my own work as well and find it does help to focus the viewer; it will be interesting to see what more you do with it.

Wow. Truly amazing treatment here, Richard. Sincerely, I have to crown you Master of Special Effects with this one – and I mean this in the most complimentary sense!! I’m so drawn to this image, staring and staring at these people and the buildings, that look so much like miniatures. Absolutely remarkable.
