I walked down this lane, and found myself in a place where 'green' was the colour to be, there was light green lichen glowing off the trees.

That must have been an interesting sight. I too would have take the shot. Why did the lichen grow on the tree?

@Rags: I think the lane the tree grows on is very sheltered, ideal conditions for the lichen. Its also got clean air blowing in from the west all year, as lichens don't tolerate pollution, so it must be a good spot to go and suck in some unpolluted atmosphere now and then.

I think you must see the world through very different eyes than most of us -- you capture the most amazing images! This is so cool on so many levels (subject, colours, lighting, composition).
