Your composition puts you right in the middle of things. 28 Jan 2008 9:30pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaGreat doc shot, Richard. But you know, I think I'd rather the flooding to the severe cold we've got right now.... -33C with a wind chill that takes it down to -47C.... yes, I'm whining!! LOL 28 Jan 2008 10:03pm @amy: and to think were moaning because it was only +10C today........well it reached +14 at the weekend, and some trees are showing signs of blossom and catkins. Doesn't seem like the safest way to get to work! Hope it's not more than an interesting subject for photoblog post! :) 29 Jan 2008 1:06am @bm: We're getting used to it, seems to happen every month somewhere here. We get no snow anymore, it rains all summer long, and we had one January day with the thermometer showing 16C. Whether global warming is at work, I don't know..... but the weather is getting wierder every year. Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanGood grief is it happening again?? How about your house, are you safe from flooding? Haven't been keeping up with the news at home, will search the infonets... 29 Jan 2008 2:28am @Daroru: Luckily, I live in a boat, so we just go up with the water, and back down again when the flood passes. This time round, it was not as severe as it was last june, lots of flooded fields and some closed roads last week, with the main flooding in my area around the River Derwent, Soar & Trent. It was all back to normal by Sunday, but at its height the week before, our boat was elevated around six feet higher than normal. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesAn interesting documentary so far... hope things get back to normal for you soon. 29 Jan 2008 4:46am Tali from Serendipity, United StatesWow what a lot of water!!! You did capture it well and I am glad you were not IN the water!!! 29 Jan 2008 4:49am Porcsin from Debrecen, HungaryOh, natural disaster... We have floods too, in spring and in the biginnig of summer! 29 Jan 2008 10:10pm |
