The Witches Sunset

These trees have been 'coppiced' in the past, but they stood like spiky things with the sun going down between them. I was a little annoyed to spot the jet contrail, but removing it in Photoshop looked like a long job (well the bit when I get to the branches does anyway), so its posted as it was taken.

I don't think I would have really noticed the trail if you hadn't pointed it out. There is so much amazing things in this picture to enjoy! Love the trees, setting sun and the colours.

Wonderful colors and the sillhouettes are wonderful. I especially like that you included the brances in the upper right, which gives good depth. As to the contrails and Photoshop, you were right; sometimes (often?) it's best to just leave things be, accept them for what they are rather than aiming for them to be as we want them. It is a lovely image.

Nice colors and use of silhouette - the shapes of the trees are not what you would expect. The jet trail isn't that distracting to me (and it looks like it would be a bear to remove!!).

LOL Richard... I know I'd have felt the same about the contrail. But the whole image is still so FABulous! The shape of those trees with the sunset between is just amazing. Beautiful.
