Eucalyptus Sunset

Taken near my home town of Belper, this lovely cloud was glowing in the January sunset, and for me, the Eucalyptus has a lovely shape.

Gorgeous colour in that cloud and the silhouette wonderful... beautiful Richard. (You (general referrence not you specifically) have eucalyptus? I didn't know that.)

@amy: Thanks Amy. The first was planted in 1774 I believe, and of course they are popular garden trees now, with a few varieties getting very tall. I have an Alpine Cider Gum in my garden, which is very pretty. The winters here are getting milder, so I guess its getting easier to over winter the less hardy plants. Last year, even my banana trees survived outside, although this year I brought them in.

A most inspiring take! I've seen such a sky today, here, near my home...only there were too many wires in the way. But the sky was blue and full of scattered pink clouds!

There is something wonderful about Eucalyptus trees, the shape of this one works beautifully with the colours of the sky.
