Witches Brew

These trees have a appearance that makes me think of 'Tolkein'.
Anyway, I'm sure I could hear a witch cackling in the branches.....

I definitely like these silhouettes! It pays at times to suffer the winter whims, we can discover things that, otherwise, remain hidden.......under the leaves in this case!Wonderful light and attractive horizon line!

Of the three you've posted over the last three days, I think yesterday's was the most placid. as you say, there is something ineffably, quietly ominous about those two trees. It's interesting how all three have such different feels to them.

Tolkein, indeed! Those trees have marvelous character which is just emphasized in silhouette. Excellent shot, Richard! Love the sun just barely there with those twilight colours.
