Ragged petals from a windblown 'Draighean' or 'Mother of the Woods'. One should take care near these trees because they are “the increaser and keeper of dark secrets”.

Terrific clarity, and, as with other flowers you've recently posted, uses DOF very effectively to create a kind of screen of color to set the overall tone. Beautifully done.

You captured very well how delicate these are - nice DoF and composition. How great that we can take photos of flowers again with spring here!!

@Chris: Spring seemed to start really early here.....until this weekend when icy winds swept down on us and it has actiually snowed today - not much, but its the first snow I've seen for years.

Absolutely brilliant and outstanding, Richard!!! What are you using for these incredible frames you've been using? Can you share???

@amy: I'm using a framing plugin inside a suite of plugins called 'Essentials2' for Adobe Elements. This contains an almost identical plugin to PhotoFrame3 for Photoshop, as well as versions of MaskPro, Genuine Fractals & Phototune. As its about 10X cheaper to buy the Elements Plugin suite and Adobe Photoshop Elements too, than it is to buy the Photoshop versions on their own, I reckon it was a bargain. You can define thousands of frames.
