Chalk RockPosted by Richard Irwin (Belper, United Kingdom) on 2 June 2008 in Abstract & Conceptual. I grew up in the chalky downlands of Southern England, and one never loses the fascination for the landscape of ones past. Chalk was everywhere, in the water we drank, in the soil of our garden, the lime of the cement that stuck our houses together. Nowadays I live on different rock, but chalk is embedded in my history.
