My absence from Am3 has been due to needing to move our little narrowboat 'Irene' to a new mooring, where we hope to sell her on in order to get a bigger boat. Last year the 'Irene' was painted red and green, but we have re-done her in blue and cream, a job which seemed to take forever (we started it last September, but had to break for the winter as it was too wet to paint). Anyway, newly painted, she made her way up the River Trent at about 3 miles per hour. This shot is as she was nearing Gunthorpe Bridge, and as I was at the tiller, my partner Cate took the shot. Anyway, I have pre-posted a few more images over the next few days, as I am going to be staying on her in Nottingham for a couple of weeks, as its close to where I work, and I can also finish off a few minor boat jobs in the evening, so that she sells fully 'ship-shape'.
Many thanks if you do leave a message whilst I continue my stint away.
