Norfolk Broads near ThurnePosted by Richard Irwin (Belper, United Kingdom) on 22 July 2008 in Landscape & Rural. I have been away for a week, taking a vacation in the county of Norfolk which is on the east coast of England. I was in an area called The Norfolk Broads, which is essentially a large area of wetlands and rivers, dotted with old windmills and boats of all shapes and styles. It is generally all flat farming ground, golden with ripened wheat, where the sound is predominantly that of the wind blowing through reeds. I've posted a few images of my trip, mostly landscapes and impressions.
