Me and the family went to a wildlife park last week, and I took a few pictures of one or two of the animals & birds.
I tried to concentrate on near views, close crops, texture and colour, so the next few images I present are a few of my 'experiments'

@Kylie Greenan: I took the image using a Nikon 70-210 D lens on my Nikon D70. I was about 6 foot away from the owl, and focussing through a wire fence.

Super, super! This is a terrific crop, giving us a slightly different angle than we might expect. The sharpness is also very fine. Thanks for sharing.

I would say that this experiment falls into the category of great success! The angle of the shot, and the details of the feathers is outstanding.
