The mountain train was heading up to Clogwyn Station, a little more than halfway up. I chose to walk up to the top rather than take the train. The summit was a blanket of cloud, and very cold and wet.

Do you have any idea how much I love trains...you combined your incredible vista with a photo of a train, I'm in total love with this masterpiece ;) the only thing missing is that mournful distant train sounds, but hey who knows that possibility could be right around the corner :)

@Lorraine: Thankyou. You know what, I wished I had had a sound recorder, the sound of the whistles blowing on these little steam trains echoed across the landscape alongside that lovely smell of steam and oil you get with these vintage machines.

Marvellous series Richard. This is a great shot with the train entering bottom right and moving across the frame. Beautiful scenary.

marvelous -- the landscape itself would have been beautiful -- but catching the train is a wonderful bonus! although, that said -- its the white exhaust from the top that just makes this! bravo!
