Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaReally? Wow! Did you use any sort of enhancement, or just maxed the sharpness...it's fabulous, very Artsy ;) 1 Oct 2008 6:32am @Lorraine: I made the image more contrasty, and over saturated the colours to bring out the rainbow. I used a Canon G7 compact, which gives quite sharp results, but then upped the sharpness in Photoshop....as I liked the effect, and rarely mess about with the sharpness settings, and wanted to do something different. Sowmya from Chennai, IndiaBeautiful picture! Can find practically all the colours;-) 1 Oct 2008 7:08am MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomThis is really something Richard, a stunning shot! 1 Oct 2008 7:27am MaryP from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomI've been to chatsworth many times, when i lived in Winsford ,but never was lucky enough to see this. Beautiful capture ! A fine composition too. 1 Oct 2008 10:02am @MaryP: The gardens are beautiful. The sunlight at this time of year is just right for making the rainbow in the waterfall appear. MJ from Delaware, United Statesgreat color and the water just makes it so fluid... great capture 1 Oct 2008 11:57am Zygene from morlaix, FranceWaouh une œuvre de toute beauté joliment cadrée, j’adore. 1 Oct 2008 12:33pm Emily Ng from Adelaide, Australiastunning. really sharp image, seems slightly too sharp thou it may jus be me lol. great composition n colours 1 Oct 2008 1:35pm Namaki from Bordeaux, Franceah Chatsworth !!! You can see this beautiful rainbow whenever the sun is shining on this fountain. dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesjust gorgeous! faaabulous seen and captured! looks like it is raining a glitter rainbow! bravo! 1 Oct 2008 3:40pm Rags from Plano, United StatesWOW! nice catch! Almost like fireworks ! 1 Oct 2008 9:30pm Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceGreat capture. Is there post-traitment on it or is it just reality ? Anyway it's beautiful !! 1 Oct 2008 9:59pm @Evelyne Dubos: The waterfall, rainbow and statue are all real, and I was just lucky to be there at the right time. My PP in Photoshop was to increase the colour saturation and the contrast, and to add some sharpening, as this brought out the colours better. JJ from Jersey City, United Stateswow the colors are so vibrant, lovely effect with the water Lovely 1 Oct 2008 11:03pm Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesYou really managed to bring out the color in this one, Richard.
