Remnants (3)

These weathered rocks are the last pieces of enormous mountains that were ground away by the earths erosive history.

Derbyshire, Central England.

Wow, that's pretty amazing. I had a mental image of all of Derbyshire wrapped in deep, dark forest with maybe the remnants of a fortification, here and there. I was way off base. I love that you chose b & w.

@Bookfool: Thanks. Thats an amazing thought. Derbyshire is mostly upland heather moorland, with rocky outcrops and some deep valleys called dales, which are often heavily wooded.
