The following few days of images are all from the top of Kinder Scout in Derbyshire, England.

Cairns are piles of stones usually left at prominent waymarks, like tops of mountains, burial sites, or route markers. It used to be a tradition to carry a stone from the bottom of the mountain to deposit it at the top, but I think most people now find a stone to place on the pile when their up the top already.
