These lizards are really common near where I live. They give birth to live young rather than lay eggs, and are very quick and difficult to photograph, let alone get close to.

Great image. I love the colors in the image. The green compliments the lizard. I did not know that they give birth to live young rather than lay eggs

@Rags: Thanks - its because they live so far north, the eggs would not survive the winter I think.
